Jogging ProgressHere's how my jogging is going:I've been alternating walking/jogging and I go the same path which I clocked at 1.4 miles. I've been going out every day and it's amazing how much more jogging and less walking I can do each time. It feels really good to get my heart pumping and tone my lower body. I also carry 1 pound wrist weights, and while walking, swing my arms around in different directions to give my upper body a workout. My neighbors probably think I'm a nutcase! I talked with my brother, who is an avid jogger. He told me for the first couple months, I should only jog every other day. The reason is that muscles grow much faster than tendons and ligaments, and if I don't take it easy at first, I will end up with an injury. And at my age (41) I don't want that to happen, so I guess I will listen to my big brother. I listen to music on an RCA Lyra 64 MB MP3 player while jogging. I bought the RCA one because it has really comfortable sport headphones and an arm band. I kinda wish I had bought the 128M player for a bit more - oh well hindsight...
