I weighed 146.5 today!

I weighed 146.5 today. Woohoo! I am only 2.5 pounds away from my 100 pound weight loss goal. I am not trying any harder to lose the weight, yet I am losing 1 pound a week now (double what I was losing before). The only thing that has changed was giving up caffeine. Also, maybe my added lean muscle mass from lots of exercise has finally increased my metabolism. Anyway, I am thrilled!

My number 1 tip is always this: plan to be on a diet the rest of your life. If you do that, it doesn't matter how slow or fast the weight comes off. Consistent effort is the key.

graph of weight chartI went through all my old diet journals, and made an excel spreadsheet of my weight at various dates and graphed out my weight loss. You can see I had a plateau that lasted about a year. There have also been lots of ups and downs the past year...probably due to the fact that I am gaining muscle along with losing fat due to exercise. Anyway, the important thing is to keep plugging away at it! Slow and steady wins the race!
