Interesting Analogy: Stubborn Belly Fat = Deep end of the PoolHere's an excerpt from this week's Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle newsletter. I totally agree with this. For men, the belly and especially lower abdominals is the last place the fat "sticks to" and the last to go, very much like some women have difficulty with hip and thigh fat. I've said this many times in this e-zine, but i will keep repeating it: you cant "spot reduce" fat from one part of your body to the exclusion of others. I'm fully aware of the products and the ads that are still on TV and in the magazines that say that you can spot reduce, but get that idea of "spot reducing" fat out of your head. If you want, you can waste your mone y on "sauna belts," wraps, creams, lotions, gels, pills and all kinds of other scams, but in the end you'll discover the truth for yourself... You have to burn lower abdominal fat like any other body fat --- through exercise and nutrition -- and abdominal fat is simply the last place to go. Here's an important analogy you should remember: Think of abdominal fat as the deep end of an inground swimming pool. No matter how much you protest, you cannot drain the deep end before the shallow end... The "deep end" will drain for certain, but it will be the LAST place to drain. I am experiencing this right now. My hips and thighs are finally losing the fat. I weighed 136 lbs today! I will keep plugging away at it until I look like the triathlete that I am.
