Giving up CaffeineAs of July 7th, I am giving up caffeine.Two reasons: 1) it makes me have to go to the bathroom, and that is interfereing with my 1/2 marathon training (I can only run for 1 hour before I have to pee!). 2) studies indicate that caffeine increases cortisol levels in the bloodstream, which cause your body to store belly fat. Maybe giving up caffeeine will help me lose my last 10-20 pounds. It was too hard giving up coffee altogether, so I have been making decaff coffee. I also have been taking tylenol on a regular basis to take care of the caffeine withdrawl headaches. I am so tired during the day. I hope that goes away soon!
