Calories Do Count
I've come to the conclusion that calories do count, even on a low carb diet. The only way to lose weight on any diet, is to consume less calories than you burn.
I truly believe that eating low carb is healthier and you have less hunger and cravings. But eating low carb alone won't result in weight loss unless you also count calories or do something to monitor how much you are consuming.
Pay particluar attention to all the low carb goodies on the market now...such as low carb chocloate and low carb ice cream. They are also loaded with fat, usually unhealthy saturated fats...so only eat those things in moderation.
