I started drinking diet ginger ale about a month ago.   I just realized that I have been craving carbs alot – cookies, crackers, pretzels, tortilla chips.   And I've been having a hard time resisting them.   ACK – I feel so bloated and fat right now.  I was below 140 in early January.  I'm afraid to weigh myself.  Guessing I weigh about 145 based on how my jeans fit me!  Bluh.

Anyway, I am giving up the diet soda.  I will report back how it goes.

  • Yeah that diet soda can definitely cause a negative with some people. I’m interested in seeing how it goes for you once you give it up. I will be checking in for an update ~ Best Wishes!

    Interesting enough, I have experienced,the same thing. I started drinking diet coke,and it was almost like I couldn’t control the craving for carbs. Once, I replaced the diet coke with water,the cravings went away.

  • you might think that diet sodas won’t make you feel bloated but it does. It has less sugar but it still makes your tummy big.

  • carbs are often one of the few things people can’t control cravings for …mainly on an subconcious level unlike the obvious sugar cravings… carb blockers can be a huge help I find
