A mental contract with yourself

I ate another piece of halloween candy today. One piece does not kill a diet, so as long as you can resist pigging out, it’s okay. It helps to make a mental agreement with yourself before you eat that one piece, that it WILL only be ONE. I chose a Nestle crunch bar. It tasted okay…just barely worth 60 calories. Huh, just thought of something. Since I put so much thought into that one piece of candy, I am probably expecting too much of it. I expect it to be the most delicious thing I eat today. Maybe this is a good strategy!
