Sorry for the broken record theme on this blog, but it’s just the plain hard truth. I am constantly working hard to not gain weight. I have to “Be Hungry” sometimes. Not all the time, just sometimes. I have to make wise food choices, and tailor my calorie intake to how much exercise I am doing. (That’s the nice thing about exercise, it allows me to eat more :-)

I still haven’t weighed myself in a while. I’m not obsessed with the scale anymore. I am using how my jeans fit as a guide to how I am doing, and they fit okay. I wear a size 10. I’m happy with that. I don’t need to lose weight – I just need to keep from gaining it, and as I said, it’s hard.

There have been times in the past year where I stopped trying for several weeks, and very quickly put on 5-10 pounds. There was even one time where I had been working hard to control myself for a week, then stepped on the scale and weighed 150. I thought to myself “The hell with it, I’m sick of fighting this endless battle. I give up.” Thankfully, I reconsidered and did not give up.

Anyway, I live in constant fear that I will once again end up being obese. And I really hated being obese. It sucked. It is worth the hard work to stay where I am, which is about 145.
