After Thanksgiving, I weighed 145 – yikes! That’s what pigging out does for you! I didn’t to much better over Christmas.

I caught a flu over new years, and yesterday I slept all day and ate nothing. Fasting does a body good! Today I weighed 141.

I caught a flu over new years, and yesterday I slept all day and ate nothing. Fasting does a body good! Today I weighed 141. I’m thrilled because I was afraid I had gone even higher than the 145 mark I saw on the scale last time.

Bottom line is that I need to work hard at controlling my weight the rest of my life.

My new year’s resolution is to go back to journaling my daily intake of calories, and balance it with my exercise. I will also weigh myself every day. That really helps keep my eating habits in check.

On days where I don’t exercise, I need to keep my calorie intake at 1200. I know from trial and error that 1200 is my base metabolism rate. I think I burn about 500 calories per hour working out, so I will allow myself extra calories based on my workouts.

It’s not easy, but it’s worth it! Nothing good in life comes easy!
