Just thought I’d post how I am doing. I weighed 135 today. My weight fluctuates between 135 – 140, mostly due to water levels in my body, I think.

I still have to work at controlling what goes into my mouth. Last week, I sat down with a plate of banana bread and ate about 3 or 4 slices with butter – then felt awful. Ugh!

Today, I put a cookie into my mouth. Then I realized that I didn’t want those calories, so I went over to the trash and spit it out. I’m not committed to calories until I swallow them! (Of course, I wouldn’t do this anywhere but my own house!)

Many days I am hungry between lunch and dinner. I’ll allow myself one snack, but that’s often not enough. One trick I still use is to cut up a bunch of raw veggies and put them out on the counter. That way there’s a low calorie food to munch on. Another thing I do is to make myself a cup of hot tea or Nestle low carb hot cocoa (only 30 calories!).

My point is, that this is a never ending battle, and the only way I can keep off all the weight I lost is to keep working at it.

I think it was four years ago that I started my weight loss journey. I guess I have become one of those people that I used to hate: The thin person that is always on a diet. But that’s just it…the reason thin people are thin is because they constantly work at it.

I wish I could bottle and sell what happened to me so that I could help other people be successful at losing weight. Persistence. If you fall down, get right back up and try again.
